Looking at the inverse of this survey stat...46% of people are unwilling to wait more than 30 minutes for a delivery or takeout order. Is your restaurant delivering in under 30 minutes? Most are unable to, especially when utilizing a third-party fleet they have no control over.Empower Delivery makes it possible to delivery in less than 30 minutes. And if it's peak time and that's not possible? Our first-party ordering system will update in real-time and tell consumers exactly how long they should expect to wait for their food.Get a demo: https://lnkd.in/gB3YB8Au

Thanks Brett Stapper for a great conversation about the future of #restaurantdelivery featuring Meredith Sandland. Listen in to learn:208: How Empower Delivery brings the promise of ecommerce to restaurants.350: Empower Delivery’s relationship with ClusterTruck 456: Why would ClusterTruck spin its software out into a separate company?614: What to think about before you spin your software out into a separate company.754: Empower Delivery's target market is any restaurant that does significant delivery volume out of a single location902: SMBs and Chains are trying to solve the same problems, even if the buying process is different. 1127: The #marketplaces are primarily digital #foodcourts where big chains pay for the best real estate1420: Thought leadership is a two way-street – putting out a podcast helps Meredith learn about restaurant's true pain points1643: Restaurant delivery has reached a plateau. In order to grow it further, it must be better, cheaper, faster.Whoever figures this out will win because consumers value convenience.1914: Great restaurant delivery is an attitude. If you design for delivery, you’ll end up with better delivery. From product, to packaging, to asset design.2119: When there’s something nobody likes but everyone does, that’s a situation ripe for #disruption.Consumers, restaurants, drivers, and delivery companies are all complaining about how expensive or unprofitable delivery is, yet they are still doing it. There is a better way.2212: Great software eliminates slack from the system, which eliminates cost and makes the whole system more valuable.2818: We will have more delivery in the US 10 years from now, which will enable the nextgen restaurant to leapfrog the existing restaurant infrastructure.

#NYCrestaurants - is lifting the delivery commission cap a good idea or a terrible one? Spoiler alert: we at Empower Delivery believe there is a better way.Joe Guszkowski of Restaurant Business Online lays out the pros and cons of the bill (Int 762) which would increase the "marketing" cap portion of the fee cap in New York City.Currently, the delivery apps are limited to a 23% commission, made up of 15% for delivery, 5% for "marketing" (where the marketing is being present on the digital food court), and 3% for credit card processing. The new law would enable the marketplaces to charge up to an additional 20% for "marketing" (defined as the digital ads and sponsored listings that restaurants are able use on marketplace elsewhere). This could be a total of up to 43% (before chargebacks, of course). The thinking goes that this will enable restaurants to pay to get noticed. But as Andrew Rigie of the New York City Hospitality Alliance says, this will cause a pay-to-play atmosphere where only those restaurants willing to advertise come up in sponsored listings. Don't believe it? Ask Joe Reinstein, who shared at the Food On Demand Conference an astounding graphic showing the restaurants actually in and near the hotel compared to the search results on marketplace platforms...which were almost all sponsored by national chains.Don't forget: additionally the delivery platforms are getting delivery fees and service fees from the consumer. In total, all of these fees and any markups a restaurant may charge to pay for them can mean that a consumer is paying 50-100% more for the same items on a delivery platform as compared to ordering directly from the restaurant. There is a better way. Cut out all the middle layers. Get more efficient. Make your guests happier. Call us - https://lnkd.in/gB3YB8Auhttps://lnkd.in/gSAgb9ki

NYC bill would allow third-party delivery commissions of up to 43% restaurantbusinessonline.com

Looking for a tech partner to help you innovate to lower costs rather than just passing higher costs through to your guests? It's time to start thinking about the efficiency and effectiveness of your approach in the kitchen and out the door to delivery.
