The best seats in The Anthem are the 450 theater-style boxes that hang from both balconies. These so-called “Super Excellent Seats” cost more than a regular ticket and are angled to face the stage.

Here's how it works: Instead of being assigned a seat when they buy a ticket, Southwest customers check in exactly 24 hours before departure to secure their spots in boarding lines. In the beginning, the first 30 to check in were put in the coveted “A” boarding group, guaranteeing them a window or aisle seat.

The 57,000-square-foot venue, which cost $60 million (USD), has a movable stage and backdrop that allows capacity to vary from 2,500 to 6,000. Balconies are closer to the stage than most venues.
